About the Role
The Principal Consultant position is responsible for managing medium to large-sized projects and programs. As a Principal Consultant you will own day-to-day client relationships as well as delivery of critical projects. In addition to client delivery efforts, the Principal Consultant is expected to support internal projects and initiatives.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Lead medium/large, complex projects and programs with minimal coaching.
• Utilize Project Management frameworks to develop detailed work structures and project plans.
• Provide exceptional client delivery through critical thinking, problem solving and risk mitigation.
• Work effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries to prioritize tasks and gain timely closure on decisions.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings to drive decisions and accountability.
• Comfortable engaging the client in tough decisions that serve the clients’ best interests.
• Lead other consultants on project engagement by providing direction on deliverables and general coaching.
• Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to self-motivate with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Requirements
7-10+ years of management consulting and/or program management experience.
Strong client presentation, communication and facilitation skills with consideration of cutting edge design elements.
Successful application of a variety of management tools and methods.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
